As part of our healthy schools initiative, we encourage parents and children to walk to school. We recognise this has additional benefits, including the safer environment created at the front of the school and maintaining positive relationships with our neighbours. The roads around St Peter’s are narrow residential streets, with no provision for parking, that become easily congested. Parents are not allowed to drive into the school car park due to severe limitations of space; however, we do provide ample covered cycle and scooter storage space, We also promote ‘park and stride’ for children attending from outside Wem; this involves parking further away from the school and walking the final part of your journey.
